Mrs. Hollis A. Sumner, 85, for years a resident of Crawfordsville died Wednesday at Villa Park, Ill where she made her home with a son. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She was born Dec 31, 1888, a daughter of James and Mary Briggs Meyers (sic). She attended Waynetown schools and later married Fern H. Sumner at Indianapolis. Mr. Sumner who was a local barber died in 1953. Surviving are two sons, Donald of Valparaiso and Jules of Villa Park, Ill; two brothers, Ray Myers (sic) of Cico, Calif and Paul Myers (sic) of Lafayette; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturda in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. Howard F. Miller officiatnig. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemeter. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday - kbz
